Acrylic & Spray Paint Experiments

Developing previous experiment - the paint underneath had not dried so I tried to move it - this created tears and ripples in the silver layer which exposed some of the underneath red paint. This worked well and could show fragility (of the art market's dependance on luxury or hyper-valuable art) and also causes intrigue for the viewer.

New experiment. Acrylic and spray paint on board.

The texture needs to be more flawless, next time I want to create a smooth surface and then move the paint underneath (like I did with the first experiment) to achieve a more 'perfect' look rather than this effect which looks like it has been painted on. Next time I could try using a paint roller for printing ink, or squeegee. This reminds me of Gerhard Richter's work upon reflection whose abstract paintings  resemble a similar pattern due to paints.

These experiments should form the basis for the digital work involving the Kinect sensor, and form part of my 'gallery'
